
Erik Friedlander is a remarkable 'cellist whose career is marked by a striking level of achievement and creativty in a variety of musical styles. For the past ten years he has performed with artists as diverse as Joe Lovano, John Zorn, and Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg. Quake is Erik's third CD with his band Topaz, and features ten of his most inspired compositions, as well as pieces by the Persian songstress Googosh, and the Indian singer Lata Mangeshkar.
